Mr. Dick Snooks is presented with the Lucketts Ruritan for Life Award at the summer picnic held June 13, 2015.

Dick is a charter member of the Lucketts Ruritan Club, he served as President three terms, VP two terms and Director for three years. He has twenty plus years (22 or 23) of perfect attendance and has been named as Ruritan of the Year. In the early years of the Fair he was in charge of security and spent the night to safeguard the fairgrounds. He hosted the annual picnic for many years. Dick is always there to do whatever needed to be done and had a joke for every occasion. Some see him as a Grizzly bear but for those that know him he is really a Teddy bear. Under that iron fist is a velvet glove.

Dick was sincerely thanked for his many years of dedication and hard work in all areas of Club activities.
